I did very simple running stitch on a saree blouse to match with the prints on the saree.
Running stitch is the main stitch used in Indian traditional kantha work and Japan's Sashiko embroidery.
I finished this project in a day (may be within 2 hrs) including transferring the design on trace paper then pricking the design and then transferring it on to the fabric.
I could not able to catch the right colour of the saree blouse in my camera..actually it is maroon red colour..

you work with tremendous sppeed, to have done all that is 2 hours is amazing
ReplyDeleteyes Margaret..pricking on the design took time..single colour of thread made more easy..only two times i cut the anchor cotton thread and threaded 3 needles with 2 strands each time..:)
