Shaded Buttonhole Stitch:Kurthi

Every year for summer I do embroidery on cotton material. So this time also I bought many shades of cotton materials and completed  embroidery on many and this is one of them.
This time I picked shaded buttonhole stitch, a variation of usual buttonhole stitch on a cotton material.  For leaves I have used long n short stitch. For the whole project I have used 2 strands of variegated silk threads
.I love this design so much. Earlier I did on the same design and gifted to my niece.

Sorry for the poor picture quality. I forgot to take pictures before sending them to daughter for tailoring. Below photoes were sent by her taken from her phone..

I love the different kinds of buttonhole stitches, for flowers too.
You've used pretty threads, are they silk, aren't they?

  4. very very beautiful lakshmi. Color combos are good. I find very difficult to work with silk threads. For me it always gets tangled and it irritates me a lot. But u r very comfortable with silk thread. Isn't it?
