This time I did simple work for saree and blouse edgings. Selected meatallic colour beads to match with the saree..

Navar Work completed

At last I am able to finish navar work which I started some time back..
This embroidery is done to hide the stains on my old benaras saree.  Saree is having design except  on pleats part. So I did small motifs where there are stains and to match with I have  done big bunches.  Totally I did 3 big bunches and few leaves and flowers where there were stains. I did buttonhole stitch for leaves, satin stitch for small flowers, french knots in the center of the big flowers and stem stitch for stem stems. I do satin stitch with another method. will show you some day..

Chemanthi Stitch: Saree

It is almost 2 months since I post any of my new projects. Yesterday I completed simple project on a saree with my favourite chemanthi stitch. For borders I have worked medium sized motifs, for pleats big bunches and small motifs on the rest of the saree.

Bullion work: Saree

Thanks to all my blogger friends who helped me in selecting the colours for this saree when i was in dilemma..There are total 10 branches in this saree..bullion work is the main stitch for the flowers, fishbone stitch, long n short and fly stitch are the other stitches..

This is also one of my old projects done on a saree..work is simple with chained creatan, cretan, stem and detached buttonhole(netknots)..

I did bullion stitch on Uppada saree..herringbone, long n short stitch, fly stitch and french knots are the other stitches used in this project..

This is also one of my old project done on a fancy plane saree..the stitch and the design was explained in a telugu news paper named vaartha.

Luckily I find the same design in an embroidery book published by vardhavep.

 I did the same work for my saree which I loved a lot..I have added cutdaana beads, german beads and stones as embellishment.

Wheatear stitch: Saree

This is one of my old project with wheatear stitch done on a pure silk saree.. stones and beads are added as embellishments..

Bullion stitch: Saree

This is the saree designed by me and embroidery done by my sister-in-law. Stitch is bullion stitch done with 2 strands of silk thread.
