Bullion Work: Wall Hanging

One of my last pending project finally finished. I wanted to try bullions on my favourite design.
Do you remember this design!!? I did net work on this design long back and that was my first post in my blog.

In this the whole design measures 15" tall and 8" wide. With border it measures 11"*18".
For this project I have used about 30 shades in silk thread.
Bullion stitch is the main stitch. French knots, stem stitch, chain stitch , fly stitch and feather stitch are the other stitches I have used.
How is it!??  if you are interested to have this piece you can message me through my facebook page.

Bullion Stitch: Saree Blouse

My camera is not yet fixed completely so posting this embroidery work late. This blouse is matching one for my saree for which I did embroidery work some time back with bullion stitch. Now only I did finish for the blouse with same stitch but with some other design.

Of late I am interested in making saree tassels. I did few but could not take the pictures as my camera is not working properly.
In the below picture you can see one type of tassel making which is under process. It is yet to be stitched more and trimmed.

Bullion Stitch

I know you all know the lovely roses done with bullion stitch. Here I have used this stitch to fill thebig petals.
We also call the stitch  as spring kuttu(kuttu is stitch in telugu) as the stitch looks like spring. The ready jardosi also looks like spring so some people here in Andhra call it as spring kuttu.

This is the project I have done on a silk saree. There are total 5 big bunches on the saree..2 for pallu, 2 for the pleats and 1 for the shoulder part. And I have done 20 single flowers, 2 for the sleeves of saree blouse. To give the good shades for the flowers and leaves i have used 12 shades of silk thread. Bullions are done with 2 strands of silk thread. For leaves I have used single strand of  double shaded thread and the stitch is done with long and short stitch. In the project I have used lavangam work, pearl stitch  stem stitch  and french knots.
