Mogga Kuttu: A combination of Fly stitch and daisy stitch

This is my 5th project with the mogga kuttu which is a combination of fly and lazy daisy  stitch. You can find my earlier projects worked with this stitch on a saree blouse, kurthi, salwar and a saree.
I have selected the same design which was worked couple of years back; as the dress was given away. Though I have a full book of neck designs with this stitch i couldn't make new as it takes lot of time.

Material: semi crepe
thread: silk threads
stich for neckline: basket stitch..for the first time I have used baasket stitch and I loved it..did you too?

Actual colour of the dress material is quite  different from the pictures. In real it is nice double shaded blue colour.

Mogga Kuttu(fly+daisy stitch): Saree Blouse

To match with the design on the saree I pick mogga kuttu for this saree blouse. Mogga means bud and kuttu means stitch. Since the stitch looks like buds locally we call it mogga kuttu. Actually the stitch is a combination of fly stitch and daisy stitch.
I have used 2 strands of silk thread for this stitch.

Mogga kuttu: Kurthi

Here comes one of my favourite finished project.
Material:
cotton

Stitches:
Mogga kuttu, a combination of fly stitch and daisy stitch
closed feather stitch for neck line
stem stitch

Threads:
2 strands of silk thread

Mogga kuttu: fly+daisy stitch

We fondly call it as mogga kuttu(bud stitch) as the stitch resembles the buds. This stitch is made by stitching 2 fly stitches face to face and daisy stitch within it. Lovely is it not?
The work on blue is a pure silk saree.
The other one is on top as you can see..

In the below picture you can see I have added one cutdana beads and one pearl within fly stitches.
