Applique work with kalamkari paintings
This is short top on which i have used kalamkari hand paintings for applique work.
kalamkari painting is a beautiful art from Andhra pradesh. It is a very old traditional art where the artist follow traditional way of using and methods. Kalam means pen and kari means work. It is very old traditional art of sri kalahasthi which is 45 kms from Tirupati and about 100kms from chennai. Unlike other centres of kalamkari, the artists still use the same old techmique of using natural dyes and pens to draw.
