It came to my notice that someone published the book in the name of Indian embroidery. As usual no credit to to the original publishers who introduced the different stitches!!. How disgusting it will be is itn't?
Chementhi is a telugu name for chrysanthemum flowers and the stitch looks like flower so the name.
My neighbor Aunt teach the stitch and no need to say it my ever favourite one.
The dress is a poly cotton double shaded kurthi. I worked with double shades silk thread with 2 strands.
