Hey Lakshmi, I have tried my hand with kutch work doing motifs on kurta and saree pallu. I wanted a suggestion from you. When you work these long row of border, how do you split the work? Like do have a count as to these many stitches you work at a time? Or do you lay down the initial frame for the stitch for the complete row and then begin interlacing? I use anchor thread. If we use silk threads how many strands do you recommend ?
I will work base first for complete design and then interlace them..till now i didn't work continuous saree border..if I work i have to think about this..:)
Thank you! That was helpful. Did you mean to say that in the second picture you laid down the frame work for the full line first and then interlaced them?
