In and around Home

This summer was horrible as usual in Tirupati. What I like most about summer is Jasmines. They bloom in summer only. This time In our new house we had plenty of them. All my stitching time went to pluck the buds and making garlands.

I can see numerous birds around home like cranes, sunbirds, mynah, humming birds, bulbul, drongo, koel, dove, babbler, kingfishers, parrots etc..It is very nice feeling to watch them..love waking up listening to their chirping sounds.
Enjoyed drongos making nest, hatching and feeding their young..
pictures were taken by my son..

 few more birds

  2. Hi, Lakshmi! do you rememeber Anne from France?
During some times I was coming without comment, but I always go here for your pictures of India and your embroidirey work. do you know I was 4 times in India (Rajasthan, gujarat, south: Kerala and Tamil Nadu, Madhy pradesh) and I hope to go with friends in next january in Orisha. I love your country, your people, your culture; I have always spoken of India in my site and in my Flickr albums..
Well, You say that Josephina st. is not oyster stitch. I would be interested by some tutorial or scheme; is it possible? I like your josephina knot like celtic knot!!!!
    Thanks!!
